10 things you don't know about me

In the first post, I somewhat introduced myself. But in this post I'm going do share 10 Things you probably don't know about me.

1. I am a HUGE worrier. Seriously, about everything. I keep myself up at night thinking and overthinking. What I did or shouldn't have done that day. I replay conversations that I might have had with people wishing I would have thought of better things to say. I know the verse in Philippians "dont worry about anything; instead pray about everything" but let me just say that's so much easier said than done. I want to make everyone happy sometimes to the full extent of not being happy myself. I want to make everything easier for everyone else. I've always felt that I'm some not good enough, that who I am is somehow sub par. That coupled with worrying is a recipe for sleepless nights and stressful days. ANYWAYS...moving on to a less heavy note....

2. I am a clean freak. Ever since we moved into our new house, I've been almost obsessed with keeping it clean. I have a schedule I follow every week to keep everything in order. I feel like if I keep on schedule, when I'm done I can fully relax and enjoy it without my to-do list running on repeat in my head.

3. My favorite food is pizza, mexican food, and my mama's homemade biscuits. Let's just say I love food and cooking. My favorite drink is diet Dr. Pepper. But really it's my blood type.

4. I love reading. It's been a mental escape from reality for me forever. In high school I would spend friday nights (except for the occasional football game) at home on the couch reading. If my purse is big enough, there is most definitely a book in there just in case :)

5. Running is slowly becoming therapeutic for me again. I was a cross country runner in high school and I grew to love running. Lacing up your shoes and getting out in the woods for miles. I love it. By the time you're done you're problems and worries don't seem so bad. (see number one haha) This is exactly why i started running again. I missed it. I'm trying to do more things purely for myself and running is one of them.

6. I kind of mentioned it in the first post, but I am a homebody. We finished building our house last year and it was a long, crazy process. I mean if you work that hard to build it, why would you want to leave?? But being at home is my favorite place to be.

7. I am a homebody but....one day I want to travel internationally. There are so many places I want to go. Paris. London. Ireland. Amsterdam. Germany. Italy. I have a pinterest board dedicated just to places I want to go to. There's also so many places in the U.S. I want to see in real life. Washington state, Oregon, California, I want to go to Oklahoma (mainly just to see the Pioneer woman store), I want to go back to New York.

8. I love summer because I love the beach, but fall is probably my favorite. The colors, smells, food, Thanksgiving holidays, cute boots and scarves. All in the name of fashion right?

9. My mama is my best friend. I remember in elementary school I memorized her work phone number so after the first day when I got to my babysitter's house I could call her and tell her about my day. And I'm 26 years old and the tradition still stands. Just about everyday after I get off work I still call her to talk about anything and everything.

10. My two dogs, Gatsby and Daisy are like my babies. They both have such different personalities. Gatsby is like Chris- full of energy, never still, and has a big personality. And Daisy girl is like me. She's shy, takes a while to warm up to new people, but she's the sweetest girl in the world.

So there ya go. 10 things you may or may not have known about me! stay tuned for the next post!
Thanks for reading :)

Christmas in July

Even though we just got back from the beach last weekend, I'm feelin' the holiday cheer. Thank you Hallmark Channel for making my Christmas loving heart happy. Yes, I'm one of those that love cheesy Hallmark movies and all things Christmas, so you mash those two together- perfection! Where's the hot chocolate? It's getting me in the mood for scarves, boots, and caramel brulee lattes from Starbucks- only THE best holiday drink out there. Chris and I may or may not have a Starbucks addiction. Don't judge. I guess while its 90+ degrees outside I can dream of cooler temperatures and hot beverages. But we did have a great time in Destin last week on vacation. It was probably the longest stint of time we've had together- just us since our honeymoon. We read on the beach, got up early to beat the crowd to our favorite breakfast spot, watched movies and just enjoyed not having a set schedule. And oh did we eat donuts. It became a literal food group last week. Po...

In other news

A lot has happened in the past few months since I last wrote. Biggest thing is....we're having a baby!! He or she is due January 25, 2019. I've started feeling little flutters and movement in the last week or so and it's been so amazing and fun! I can't fit into anything other than gym shorts right now! All the maternity clothes I have are for cooler temps and Georgia says it's still summer time, so until then...tshirts and gym shorts! We find out the gender on Tuesday and it's been the longest month of my life waiting for that appointment. Because after that the real planning begins! We're going to have to keep it a secret for 3 days until our gender reveal party on Friday. That is gonna be tough! The party is going to be a Fisherman or a Mermaid theme--all the decorations are too cute! We bought a huge confetti popper from Poof there It Is that we're going to set off to tell everyone with. I seriously CAN'T. WAIT. Look them up on Instagram...
